When everybody else has gone to sleep, Dongwoo wakes Woohyun up by pressing one hand over his mouth and shaking him until his eyes open. "Come with me," he whispers (maybe a little more loudly than necessary), and then backs off so Woohyun can sit up, glare at him, and then rub enough sleep out of his eyes to get off the bunk bed.
"It's like four in the morning," Woohyun says when Dongwoo closes the door behind them. "I hope this is gonna be really good."
"I think it is," Dongwoo says. "Um—I hope it is..." Suddenly self-conscious—and aware of how Woohyun would probably rather be sleeping than anything—he rubs the back of his head and then pushes Woohyun towards the living room. "Sit down."
Woohyun sighs, but obeys, flopping down onto his back on the living room floor. From the kitchen Dongwoo watches (to make sure Woohyun's not going to try and sneak a peek) as he prepares his birthday present—separate from what the other members had done, because he wanted it to be meaningful, didn't want it to get lost in the shuffle and the commotion.
When he comes out of the kitchen bearing the cake—smaller than a normal cake, of course, and better suited to two people than seven—Woohyun sits up and looks at him. "...Is this my birthday present?" he asks, as Dongwoo carefully sits down in front of him and sets the cake on the floor.
"Yeah," Dongwoo says. He's glad it's dark—that way Woohyun can't see him blushing. "It's kind of lame, I'm sorry it's—"
Woohyun shuts him up by leaning over to kiss him. "Shut up," he says, affectionate. "It's not lame." And while Dongwoo is still grinning like an idiot, Woohyun runs his finger through the frosting and shoves it in Dongwoo's mouth. "Do I get a birthday wish?"
"You have to blow out the candles," Dongwoo finds his voice to say.
With a very serious look, Woohyun turns to contemplate the candles burning on top of the cake. "...Okay," he says after a moment, leaning over and blowing them all out in one breath. "There. Now my wish will definitely come true."
"What did you wish for?" Dongwoo asks, settling down on the floor and facing Woohyun.
"I can't tell you, it won't come true," Woohyun replies. "Jeez, you learn that in kindergarten." He reaches out and pushes Dongwoo's hair out of his face, then says, a little softer, "Thanks, hyung."
Dongwoo blushes again and laughs, just a little nervous. "You're welcome."
With a mischievous expression, Woohyun picks up a fork and hands it to Dongwoo. "Feed me," he says, his tone demanding even though his eyes are crinkled into smile-crescents. Woohyun's smile is incredible, Dongwoo thinks, worth it to stay up until four in the morning just to see it meant only for him.

"If you insist," Dongwoo says.
